— Death Note —

I spent long summer nights, waiting for you.

Sipping whisky, listening to the blues.

Thinking of the times when we were kids,

You loved pulling my hair as I made you my prop for practicing the jump kicks.

As we grew older, you started to care.

And once I caught you smelling my hair.

I couldn’t help but resonate the thought,

There was a whirlwind of incomprehensible feelings in my heart.

And before I knew, you swept me off my feet.

Asked me the question, and popped a ring.

I was confounded by all that charm,

As I soared high with these newly found wings.

There was that day, and then there’s now.

It took me a while to find out that you were sleeping around.

I was left with no option but to leave you alone,

Run to the mountains and embrace the snow.

Now as I stand here, struggling with my vertigo,

The valley looks welcoming down below…

These rocks, trees and pristine snow,

Will witness my fall…as here at dawn I’ll end it all.

The newspapers will read : A girl jumped off the mountain!

Grief stricken, heart-broken.

Never to find who she really was…

As somewhere far, a mad man runs wild, breaking other beautiful hearts.

What i learnt from Mr.& Mrs.Iyer…

i have seen Mr. & Mrs. Iyer many times…and every time there is a new moment,a new favourite scene, and something new to learn.

This movie is easily one of my all time favourites and I saw it the other day after quite a few days…it is a beautiful movie about how people come and go from your life and leave an impression upon you,how beautifully relations develop and how some relations can never be named…A sensitive issue like communal riots forms the backdrop of the film, adding more depth to the overall film credentials..

It is written and directed by Aparna Sen,and stars two most talented actors of our times: Rahul Bose and Konkana Sen Sharma.

This time around the following 3 scenes caught my attention:

Scene 1:

what I learnt : It is extremely easy to ask for forgiveness…and very simple to forgive too!The whole process can be so hassle free if two people really understand each other…

Scene 2:

What I learnt : keep the faith…

Scene 3:

What I learnt : ok,this is on the lighter side, but don’t let a person like Rahul Bose walk out of your life just like that…u’ll be left in tears!

To really get what i just wrote, you have to see the movie.

If you havent seen ‘ mr. and mrs. iyer’ yet, you are missing out on something beautiful…So anyone who hasn’t please add it to your ‘things to do before i die’ list…and soak in the movie asap!!!

cloud no.9

While on a journey,we are always marvelled by the landscape on our route…but we tend to neglect the dynamic art of the clouds that we get a chance to witness when we get away from the concrete jungle. Here are a few shots I took on my recent trip to the konkan…They are not taken from a dSLR and taken while in motion…so please just try to see the beauty of the nature, rather than the quality of the shot!!

Get back to your childhood days and try to figure out pictures in the clouds…tell me…what do you see?
